Time passes and then a chance sighting of one another at a holiday concert lets them both know that the spark is still very much alive. Grant comes on an unannounced visit to Kerr on Christmas Eve. He has come to find out why she never showed up, as he did, at the Empire State Building. They talk and in perhaps the greatest love scene in movies, Grant through an incredible round of questions and answers, begins to realize why Kerr was unable to make their meeting.
