6 Reasons That Pregnancy is the Easiest Part of Motherhood

#1 Reason That Pregnancy is the Easiest Part of Motherhood: You always know where your child is.

Face it, it is one of the few times in motherhood when you are 100 percent sure where your child is. When your child is a baby, unless you are holding him or her, you still may find yourself wondering if your child is safe in the crib. Mothers worry that their super human baby has somehow found a way to leap out of the crib and onto the floor.

When the child starts walking and exploring the house, there will be moments when you don’t exactly where he or she is. The child could be in the next room, quietly playing, or sneaking around the corner for a surprise game of hide and seek.

During the later years, your child is at school, at a friend’s house, playing sports. The teen years, you can hope you know where they are.

You will miss the days when you just had to pat your rounded belly, knowing baby was safely inside.

#2 Reason That Pregnancy is the Easiest Part of Motherhood: No diaper changes.

During infancy through the toddler years moms miss those days when diaper changes where not even a thought. While you were pregnant your body and baby took care of any of baby’s waste. Changing diapers gets more difficult as baby gets older and does not want to sit still. They also get bigger and messier. You will miss those pregnancy days. At least you can look forward to potty training.

#3 Reason That Pregnancy is the Easiest Part of Motherhood: You always knew when baby was hungry.

When you’re pregnant your body definitely let you know when it was hungry. Your body gave hunger signals when it needed food and nutrients to help grow the baby. After the baby is born, and cries, you won’t always know when he or she is hungry. You can use the clock, and follow his or her schedule, and you will come to recognize a “hungry cry,” but you will never be 100 percent sure, which can lead to a little overfeeding and big healthy babies. It’s really not a problem, and it does get easier as the baby grows into a toddler who can communicate more directly.

#4 Reason That Pregnancy is the Easiest Part of Motherhood: You weren’t tripping over toys.

Baby always ate what you gave him or her. Yes, baby always ate what you ate, with no fuss, except maybe a bit of indigestion for mom.

#5 Reason That Pregnancy is the Easiest Part of Motherhood: You weren’t tripping over toys.

Baby was busy growing and floating and having a good old time without any toys. Now, toys have invaded every room in the house. Toys are in the bedroom, the bathroom, the living room, and even in the kitchen. There was much less to pick up when you were pregnant. Disclaimer: this does not apply to those brave and hearty families with more than one baby or toddler.

#6 Reason That Pregnancy is the Easiest Part of Motherhood: You could sleep.

This was probably the best part of pregnancy. It was okay to take a nap, or go to bed at 7pm. You could sleep until you woke up. Sometimes would kick or move and wake you, but you still were able to maintain more of your own sleep schedule during pregnancy than with an infant or a baby.

For these reasons, motherhood is the easiest part of pregnancy.
