6″1′, tall, dark and handsome Abhishek Bachchan is one of the hottest men on the Bollywood movie scene. Perceived to be no more than a follower in his famous father’s footsteps, the hot Asian actor has carved his niche and caught the eye of many movie goers. He is also featured worldwide in television ads, including, Motorola’s MotoRokr .
The young star was born February 5th, 1976. At thirty years old, he believes that anything you do, should be done from the heart. Fluent in English, Hindi, and French, Abhishek’s favorite place is his native home of India. While, many women find him hot, ironically, the one thing Abhishek Bachchan would change if her were able is his physique.
Apparently, his physique and his mannerisms have won over the love of his life, Aishwarya Rai. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai became engaged in January of this year. They have made their engagement public, and have sought the blessings of their deity in the Vindhyavasini Temple. The religious rites the couple performed before their deity is being viewed as a type of prenuptial ceremony. Abhishek and Aishwarya performed parikarama and also the Bhagwati Pooja. Parikarma is a ceremonial walk around the entire deity in the temple seeking the blessings of the deity. Bhagwati pooja is the traditional offering of prayers by the priest, and sacrificial offerings from the couple.
Their temple tours and worship has not stopped at the Vindhyavasini temple. The two have been on a whirlwind tour of a variety of temples seeking blessing for their union and their lives. Some of their ceremonies have been private, and some public. According to priests, their motives seem to be pure as they seek to weave their religion into their life as husband and wife. These religious rites and ceremonies are somewhat of a departure for followers of Hollywood, where humanism and Scientology seem to be the religious trend of the moment.
Bachchan’s upcoming wedding is one of the highlights of the Bollywood scene. He is also making news around the globe, having recently traveled to France, among other countries, being received with honor wherever he goes. Stars like Bachchan and others are lifting Bollywood from their traditional Indian cultures and spreading the movies around the world.
