I was totally shocked when Brandon Rogers was let go March 14-only to let Sanjaya stay on once again, when he isn’t really doing a good job. The judges said so, the audience can see it, and even Sanjaya himself was surprised. No one is doubting that he can sing. Sanjaya can sing, but he just isn’t singing right. Each week, the judges tell him how bad he is, what he needs to do to stay in, and it just isn’t sticking in his brain. He is too young, and inexperienced to be on American Idol. As a musician myself, and having to sing in front of an audience, you have to entertain people. Sanjaya is singing like he is: In a high school talent show; in his shower; at a karaoke bar. He is not taking American Idol seriously! Every contestant on the show is “feeling the music” while they are singing-except Sanjaya! None of the American Idol winners seasons past have given a lame performance. So why is America keeping Sanjaya in?
It was said that Howard Stern mentioned that his “favorite contestant Sanjaya” has survived another cut from American Idol. He encouraged all of his listeners to vote for Sanjaya on the website www.votefortheworst.com . What?! Why would America want to vote for the “worst” American Idol contestant? Will they rush out and buy a CD from someone that they don’t like? I went to the website and wanted to know why anyone would be stupid enough to start such a website. They started the site in 2004, to put through someone that the American Idol judges would hate to see win. They are tired of the producers turning away good singers before seeing Simon, Paula and Randy, and letting the bad ones stay in.
We already see that some talented people are turned away, when they do make it in to see Simon, Paula and Randy. For some reason, the judges refuse them. My guess is that its because they sound like they belong somewhere else(cruise ship, Broadway musical, etc.) or they just picked the wrong song, and didn’t sound pop or commercial enough. The strangest thing is seeing a picture of Taylor Hicks on the website, holding a Vote For The Worst Tee shirt. That gets me wondering about him. Hmmmm…..
Nevertheless, the concept of Vote for the worst is completely needless, because if a contestant is good enough, they will get offers even if they don’t win. Keeping Sanjaya in is not fair to the rest of the Idol contestants who really are trying hard, and unfair to Sanjaya who thinks he is doing a “good” job because America is keeping him in. He is NOT deserving to stay, so he needs to go, and soon. Watch again on Tuesday night. Will he surprise us and actually “feel” the music this week? I doubt it. Let’s watch and see. Simon has said on Extra that if Sanjaya wins, he will leave American Idol. Simon is American Idol! If he leaves, there is no longer a show. Who wants to see just Randy and Paula? You need all three to make the show. You have the bad guy, the fair guy, and the positive woman. No one can take Simon’s place. I doubt there is anyone who makes cruelty look as good as Simon. Sorry, it just won’t work.
I went to a couple blogs, and here is what people are saying about Sanjaya. The truth. I’m glad some can actually see it.

Please vote for Sanjaya guys. We are going to make history and Sanjaya will have a great record deal. Just remember all the success William Hung also had.
Please Please Please .. everyone help weed out the weakness. It’s clear that the guys don’t have it this time, Especially Sanjaya. His weak performances are abysmal. I nearly died when he tried to sing John Mayer, Waiting On the World to Change.
Melinda is a true star, a “Tiger” waiting to be discovered. He career, once she wins American Idol, will easily out shadow even previous season winners.
can’t wait to see the end of this train wreck, and what better singer to be at the top than Sanjaya? He’s the ultimate! He’s got my vote, bro’!

OMG! Sanjaya has really got to go! He definitely does NOT have my vote! He should have been long gone….Sundance & Brandon should both still be there. What a shame! The boy is creepy, I cringe at the sight of him and his singing is WEAK,…..NO FEELING!

Sanjaya is like Michael Jackson post-op, without the talent… creepy, soft-spoken and feminine.
It’s ridiculous people support votefortheworst.com – this is a singing competition people, not a popularity contest, nor a google-bomb (increasing the popularity of a site by rigging sites / votes) test.
Sundance was cut because he had an appalling night. The audience quickly forgot that Brandon wasn’t the only one who forgot his words on Tuesday night and he’s alot more talented than Sanjaya or Chris R.
Fair shake of the stick people – vote with integrity and if you don’t like this train wreck, please get off at the next station. Some of us enjoy this ride and you’re ruining it for us!!!
(And my votes are currently favouring Melinda, if you were wondering!!!)

American Idol is an institution relying on the American Public (votes/viewing) to fuel their Money making show. Sometimes the American public will show their crazy, stressed out, time to shake things up, break from the “norm” side. If you put yourself out there in the hands of the public; be prepared.. it’s not always going to be a smooth ride.
Sanjaya (vote_for_the_worst_dot_com) to the top 10! “My phone line, my vote(s)”

Being a fan of the show since its inception, I feel I have the right to say that Sanjaya’s performance was the worst I have ever seen in Idol history. It’s not that he can’t carry a tune, but he has absolutely NO personality other than his smile. and the more they tell him that he needs to “vamp” up his performances, the blander he gets.
Either he has a small country voting for him, or America is deaf, dumb AND blind.

Jaw dropping moment when Sanjaya made the cut. I knew that It was Brandon or Sanjaya who was going to go next. Basically…the guys are just going to keep going at this point. Haley is going soon though. I felt so bad for her…she really in it to win it. My guess for the 3 top American Idols are Jordan Sparks, Melinda Doolittle, and LaKisha Jones.
Please..Please ….Just get rid of Sanjaya.

It’s interesting to me how this voting system works. Having watched this show from its start, I have seen a lot of voting travesties. But the idea that there are people out there seriously voting for someone like Sanjaya based on 1.)race 2.)talent 3)votefortheworst.com … says volumes about where people are with what they think this show is about. It’s about finding REAL talent, and cutting away the excess waste. Sanjaya has found some sort of niche…I just wonder how much longer he can persevere?

I am a musician. Sanjaya can definitely sing, but he lacks the knowledge of using his voice to win this competition. He doesn’t need to “win” this competition just to have a career. Once you are in the top 12, if you are good, your career is usually set. Voting for him just because he is the worst singer, is foolish. No one in America will buy a CD from the worst singer-if they were stupid enough to force a win. Sanjaya has to “FEEL” the music more. He is singing like, he’s in the shower, or a high school talent show. He is in his own world, and not singing to prove himself to the audience. If he does win,(which will prove America is absolutely stupid) then American Idol is dead, Simon said it himself on Extra, and I am with Simon.

Voting to keep Sanjaya in is cruel to him as well as to the rest of us. American Idol is the only surviving vocal talent show. So if we keep up with this Sanjaya thing, there will be no more vocal talent shows, and you know that there’s a lot of people who haven’t auditioned for American Idol. So this would disappoint a lot of people. Did you see the look on Sanjaya’s face? He was “surprised” that he was being kept in. He knows that he should go home, so why does he continually do what the judges don’t like? Think about that! He was crying when his sister didn’t get in. Randy even told him that he lost something he had from the very beginning. How can he not know how to “feel” music when he is around everyone who does? Sanjaya wants to go home to be with his family-or he’ll surprise us this week, which I doubt.
This is what was said on the Vote For The Worst website, truly hilarious!
what are you trying to do to American idol!!!! Yall are just freaky idiotic fat freaks…did i mention…IDIOTIC FREAKS!!!!!! You dont have a life so you destroy others. some people are in it to win it. This is their big chance and you ruin it. We will make surre sanjaya and his “lucious locks” get voted off the show if its last thing we do!!!! good people deserve to win…and we will vote for them a million times if we have to. So you and sanjaya and your crew of freaks can just GET A LIFE!!!!!!!!!! go make your own record deal. and do you think we are done yet… well we aint…we hateeeeyou… and were not through with you yet, this will not be the last time that you here from us… and do NOT even thing about a restraining order or well do somethin ……bad yeah we will tell our whole school to never vote for sanjaya and start an email that encourages you to boycott your stupid idiotic retarded lame sick doofus website.and again….i repeat……YOU WILL HEAR FROM US AGAIN. we will be in your dreams zzzzzzzzzzzzzz and sanjaya will also win…IN YOUR DREAMS. have a WONDERFUL day.
ps. see you tonight.
I swear to god who ever is setting up this website better close it down or else i will make you guys shut it down. This comitition is for the BEST not for the worst and people want the BEST singers to have a cd out or whatever. If sanjaya makes another week i will shut down this website myself!!!!
And that, readers, are the real voices of America. Stop making Sanjaya feel like he is doing a good job, and do him a favor and vote him off March 21st. The probability of him actually making a complete turnaround are very slim. He isn’t listening, so he should finally learn his lesson, and go home.
