In Cary, North Carolina, a town where huge billboards are banned, and even the waffle house is required to be hidden due to its “unsightly” look. What is a car dealer to do? The Cary Auto Park is Cary’s solution for car dealers, allowing them space to sell car, while not marring the image of Cary. If you aren’t looking for the Cary Auto Park, chances are you will probably drive right past it. In fact you might drive right past it if you are looking for it. The Park, and all its dealers are hidden behind trees off the side of Highway 64 in Cary. To get to the park you turn onto Auto Park Blvd, what appears to be a reasonably small road marked with only a small perhaps 2ft high sign on the side of 64.
One you get onto Auto Park Blvd. You are surrounded by virtually any type of car dealer you may be looking for. The collection of dealers all within walking distance of each other make it easy to park your car in one location and shop around at several different dealers without ever having to get in your car again.
Here are a few of the dealers you will find in the park, as well as a little about them.
Auto Park Honda
210 Auto Park Blvd
Cary, NC 27511
Located in the Auto Park, Auto Park Honda is your typical Honda dealer. The service you will get at this Honda dealer however is much better than you will find at your typical dealer, making them quite possibly the best place to purchase a Honda in the Triangle, if not all of North Carolina.
They have a wonderful selection of new and used cars available, as well as a website where you can see what models they currently have in stock. If the model you need isn’t there you can get them to order the car with your specifications and have it shipped to their dealership. If you see a car you like on the website, call ahead and see if its is still available, the website is not updated daily with what has and hasn’t been sold.
Auto Park Chrysler Plymouth Jeep
400 Auto Park Blvd
Cary, NC 27511
If you’re in the market for a Jeep, Chrysler or Plymouth product then this is the dealership for you. They have a tremendous amount of vehicles in stock everyday and a pretty decent staff to help you sort your way through them. I think this one of the best places to look for a Jeep in the area. They have a good selection of both new and used Jeeps, with prices much better than many dealerships in the area.
2300 Auto Park Boulevard
Cary, NC 27511
This is the worst Volkswagen dealership I have ever seen. They have very few new models available, and the used models that are there seem like the rejects from other dealerships. The one trip I made here looking for a new car four cars in a row could not be started. They tried jump starting them to no avail, meaning that they had much larger problems that just a dead battery.
The staff tried to help me, but with little inventory they couldn’t do much.
