I have always loved bubble baths. As a kid I took them all the time! We had all kinds of fun bubble bath bottles shaped like all different characters and I always remembered a whole tub full of bubbles that I could play in. Now that I’m an adult, I still love soaking in a relaxing bubble bath – except now I’m reading a good book instead of playing with rubber duckies! So for years I have tried all different brands of bubble baths, and was greatly disappointed with many of the results. The bubbles would come and go before I even got through a page in my book!
Then one day my Avon friend gave me yet another Avon magazine to try and solicit me to order. I had never ordered Avon before, but then I saw “Avon Tranquil Moments Relaxation Foam Bath” on sale 2 for 10 dollars! Well how could I go wrong with 10 dollars? I purchased the two bottles and in the end I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!
As you pour this into your bathtub, it fills up with nice warm water, you will instantly see lots of bubbles forming. No, not just bubbles, but FOAM as the product suggests. There is an entire layer a few inches deep of the foaming bubbles floating on the water before I get in. Now for the true test! Will they still be there after I get in? After using this many many times I can tell you that a good majority of the bubbles remain even after soaking for an hour! Of course they are going to start slowly disappearing when you get in, but there will be enough left for you to enjoy the bubbles.
Opening the bottle, the scent is very strong and nice. However, once you start pouring it into the water the scent seems to dissipate to barely noticeable. It’s still OK, but I would prefer something that continuously smelled strong as I soaked. It is a flowery scent, and I don’t think they sell different flavors. I would like to try this same product in different scents but for now you only have one choice.
Soaking in the tub I definitely feel relaxed. I can feel a major difference compared to soaking in a tub with nothing in it. It makes the water feel softer and makes it so my skin doesn’t get pruny. It also makes it hard to get out of the tub because I am so relaxed! The only reason I usually end up getting out is because the water gets cold and I can’t stay in anymore. If I had a hot tub, I would love to try this in it :) I’d never leave!
At 10$ a bottle, it may seem a little steep but as I mentioned it does go on sale at times. However, even 10$ isn’t much when you consider that after OVER 1 year I still am on the first bottle. Any busy woman knows she can’t take a bubble bath every night, so I only get around to it 2-3 times a month. I pour a lot in, like 3-4 capfulls, and I still have over half of this 16 oz bottle left.
What they say
The bottle says: Escape to a private oasis whenever you please. Indulge in this relaxing foam bath and emerge beautifully renewed. This seems to be 98% true in my experience. I do relax, it is foamy, and I could easily pretend to be in an oasis :) The only thing that makes it less true is the scent isn’t quite there to take me away to a relaxing place.
I think what makes this different then the other bubble baths I tried is that it is FOAM. The foam seems to make the bubbles last longer and the water feels nicer than with a regular bubble bath. It is worth the price to help a busy woman (or maybe even a man, or perhaps a couple) relax your muscles after a long day. When I feel sick, I relax with this! When it’s chilly outside, I warm up with this. When I feel tired, I revive myself with this. And when I just want to read a good book, I escape into it while soaking in this :) Although I would like a stronger scent, this is the best product I’ve tried so far and I’m going to stick with it – at least until I run out of the 1.5 bottles I have left! Check it out :) Your friends with Avon will love you :) Enjoy!
