One of the best all-around Thanksgiving Day celebrations takes place at Don Hall’s Guesthouse- which is a member of the Don Hall family restaurant chain, local to the Fort Wayne area. Don Hall’s has been a member of the Fort Wayne dining community since 1946 and will be celebrating another anniversary this year. And, as always, they will offer Fort Wayne one of the best Thanksgiving dinners around. The hotel offers a Thanksgiving Day Buffet in the Grand Ballroom beginning at 11:00 am. Turkey, ham, beef, mashed potatoes, every kind of vegetable, biscuits, pies, cakes; imagine it and it will be there. Adults enjoy this feast for $17.95, children from 10-3 $6.95 and under 3 is free. Their main dining room will also offer a customary Thanksgiving dinner; turkey, dressing, potatoes, cranberry relish and pie along with a beverage for adults at $13.95, children below 10 $6.95. The dining room manager, Judy, told me to make sure and inform interested customers to make reservations well in advance, especially for the buffet, as it, too, is filling up fast. Don Hall’s Guesthouse is located at 1313 W. Washington Center Road on the northeast side of Fort Wayne. Reservations can be made by calling 260-489-2524.
