Las Vegas is a great town. Many view it as a place to elope, or to have a “theme wedding”, but there is something else you can do related to weddings in Las Vegas, you can propose! There are so many great settings in the town, it would take forever to make a list of all the possible places for you to propose, but I’ll do my best to give you some ideas that you might like.
The Las Vegas strip has some great scenery and displays on it. Of course there’s the lights, the crowd, and the noise which may deter some people from proposing there, but if you don’t mind the fact that others might witness your proposal it offers great possibilities. There are several free attractions that make the perfect setting. How about proposing to your loved one outside the Mirage just as the Volcano is erupting. You could even use a tacky line like “the fire of the volcano is nothing like the fire I have in my heart burning for you”. If that is not to your taste, how about the fountains at The Bellagio? They are famous for being a romantic attraction, and would make a nice background to have for your proposal. You could sit on the bricks surrounding the fountain and drop to one knee there to propose to your loved one.
Of course there are other ways to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Las Vegas strip. The Stratosphere has a restaurant at the top of the hotel that turns in a circle giving you a beautiful view of the strip, along with the surrounding areas, which could be a nice place to propose. If you are a little more on the adventurous side you could ride the roller coaster on top of New York-New York and either propose on the roller coaster itself or on top of the hotel as you get off the ride.
Maybe the Las Vegas strip isn’t quite what you are looking for? Do you want more of an “Old Vegas” feel for your proposal? Well how about going down to Freemont Street. There you will see all of the older hotels that you may have heard about and get a little of the feel of what the city was before the large investments made on the strip. Every hour there is a light show in the sky, that you can observe. Maybe you could observe it one hour so you can take in the light show. Then, the next hour while it is going on in the sky, you could propose to your loved one so your proposal has a background she will never forget.
One final suggestion I have is if you want to propose inside a casino. If that’s the case, I have the perfect suggestion. How about The Rio? Why do I suggest this? Well, at The Rio they have a “parade in the sky”, this is an event they have numerous times a day where “Mardi-gras style floats” that are suspended on a track from the ceiling do a parade above the casino. For a small fee you can ride on the floats. In my opinion that would be a fun place to propose to that special person in your life.
So, as you can see Las Vegas offers many settings for you to make that romantic wedding proposal to the love of your life. It can be on the strip, above the strip, in old Las Vegas, or even in a casino. Of course the key is to style your proposal in a way that you think it will win over who you hope will be your partner for life. Now, depending on how much of a hurry you are to get married after you propose, you could always do that while you are in Las Vegas. Remember Elvis is always ready to help you with your ceremony!
