Earlier this month; my mother told me that she was actually starting to believe what was said in different astrology books. According to her, and to those who actually reads these books, Pisceans (like myself and my older sister) tend to create their own worlds and want to live in it whereas Aquarians (like my mother and my younger brother) are focused in the real world. I did not know what she meant until a couple of weeks ago.
Now since I’ve been writing a book for almost six years, my first thought was “Yeah, I have created my own world. It’s not that bad, is it?” But that day, she told me that because my sister and I are Pisceans; we’re hoping to find people to take care of us and we are so in our own worlds whilst my brother is successful with all with his countless jobs and his work ethic. Granted, I’m not perfect and I’ve had some major screw-ups in my 21 years, but the question is does everyone succeed and fail just because of their star signs?
We’ve all heard about people’s relationships either succeeding or failing because their star signs were either compatible or not. I mean, look at Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe. Reese, an Aries, managed to make it work with Ryan, a Virgo, for seven years. Was their break-up contributed to the fact that their star signs weren’t compatible? I don’t necessarily think so. I mean, they should be applauded for trying as hard as they could to make it work and knowing when to call it quits when they just can’t try anymore. People say that Aquarians are detached, cold and bitter people? Do I believe that? No. People are what they are. It doesn’t matter what rising sign they’re under. It matters what experiences made them what they are.
A lot of murderers, rapists, etc. can blame their indiscretions on the fact that they were born under a certain sign. Does that mean that it’s true? No. 90% of sex offenders are not Sagittarians. They’re either warped or something happened to them in their lives where they felt like they had to sleep with children or attack people that are defenseless compared to them. There was the Zodiac Killer in the late 60s-early 70s, but he got his name from the four cryptograms that he signed in his letters to the police. There is no astrology link to him and his murders.
So, I can basically say that this article was based on an argument. Does that mean that everything that I said was out of anger? I don’t believe so. While I read astrology books, I take them with a grain of salt. It is also believed that astrology could be blasphemous among certain religions. Take astrology with a grain of salt, people. I do.
