Cheeseburger in Paradise is just another of many new restaurants new to the Kansas City area. Cheeseburger in Paradise has two locations in Kansas City, one at the Legends Mall and the other is located in Leawood. Is this new Restaurant all that it claims to be? What does it have to offer that other restaurants don’t and will it be worth it? All of those are very good questions and I hope my experience there and information will help you to decide if Cheeseburger in Paradise is some place you want to try out.
First let’s talk about what we all think about when we go some place and that is the food worth the money. Cheeseburger in Paradise has a very diverse menu, and if you can guess from the name Cheeseburger in Paradise they specialize in cheeseburgers. When I say very diverse menu I am not joking around, they have Ribs, Fish, Steaks, Chicken, and Shrimp. Which sounds typical but all of them are prepared in a diverse manner, they have New Orleans BBQ Shrimp, Tropical Tilapia with pineapple salsa, and many other specially cooked foods. This is one of the good points of Cheeseburger in Paradise, a lot of the food is new and I haven’t had anything like it before.
Off course they also have their famous burgers, which is where they got their name from. I have to admit they have some great burgers, and a huge selection to choose from. My personal favorite are the min-cheeseburgers, you get 6 delicious mini-burgers that are in my mind a delicacy. They also offer various sandwiches which are tasty and well prepared. Cheeseburger in Paradise has some great food so what do you have to pay for a good meal here, with 4 friends and some generous ingestion of alcohol; I would say about 35 dollars each. If you just want a quick bite to eat you can probably get out for about $12, but you better drink water or coke.
Cheeseburger in Paradise gets you with the alcohol sales; this is where they make a good portion of their money. With $8-10 mixed drinks and $4-7 beers you can rack up a pretty good bar tab fast. The food is good value for what you get; burgers are priced comparable to Applebee’s and taste much better. The steaks and chicken get a little pricey but no higher than a typical sit down restaurant. Overall a good deal for food, but a little over the top for the drinkers of your group. I would suggest eating dinner here then hitting a bar if you want to have some drinks, it will save you some cash.
So now on to the bad parts about this place, one is on a busy night you might have to wait for a bit, anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and half. They typically have a live band so you would think this would make the time pass but this is the worst part about Cheeseburger in Paradise. The live bands are so loud you can’t even have a conversation with someone right next to you. I don’t like loud restaurants, I want to sit down and converse with my family or friends, not shout over some third rate band. This is why I personally never go into Cheeseburger in Paradise unless I call first and find out if they have live “Entertainment” (if you can call it that) or not.
If you like loud music and can put up with it while you eat and attempt to talk to your friends or family this is the perfect place for you. I think overall Cheeseburger in Paradise has a good gig going. With great food and a large selection of style and preparation of the food Cheeseburger in Paradise will keep me wanting more. I like to try something different every time I come here, obviously when there isn’t a band.
Other than the live band thing, Cheeseburger in Paradise is a place I like to frequent for some good food. You can checkout their website for more information (www. cheeseburgerinparadise.com) they have a place to look up what location is closest to you, a full menu, and some games you can play. Make sure you go try Cheeseburger in Paradise you wont be disappointed.
