You look at the calendar that is in your kitchen and you realize that you have only a couple of weeks left until your much needed baby shower. The days leading up to this big day can be completely nerve racking for you and anybody else that is involved with this fun and exciting event, but do not worry you can de-stress yourself and others while planning and fixing all the little things that need done before the party. Follow a few, calming steps to finish up what needs to be done while relaxing yourself and making everyone relaxed while you are at it. You are about to be a mother or father so you need to learn how to stay calm now more than ever!
Stay as calm as possible. There is no need to get yourself all worked up. You should not let anything cause you much NOT needed stress. It is not good for you or your new baby that you are carrying. There might be a lot of things that still might need taken care of like food drinks or even decorations but there is no need to be upset it can all be taken care of in a timely matter without getting anyone worked up. Make a list of what all needs done and follow it in order of importance. If decorations still need bought, get to a party store when you get a chance and purchase the decorations that you may need. If food and drinks are needed to complete the buying guide for the shower, there is definitely no need to worry. The food and drinks that are needed do not need bought until the day before. You do not want any food or drinks to go bad before the big day so when the time is right for you to purchase the snacks or the meal get it then. If you are hiring someone to cater the event make sure you give them a call at least two weeks before so they can get your order in and make sure that the food you have purchased will be ready by the date you need it by. This includes the cake you might want to order from your local bakery.
Make sure you see if everyone you and your loved ones have invited have r.s.v.ped If they haven’t yet you should give everyone a call that you have not heard from and see if they will be attending. This is not rude so do not feel bad when calling someone, just politely let them know that you need to know if they will be able to come so you can order the right amount of food and arrange seating for everyone so each person has a good and comfortable time. If someone tells you they can not come, do not worry about it. People are busy and you have to keep that in mind so your feelings are not hurt. Just tell them that is perfectly OK and you hope to see them soon!
Have fun! This is your new baby’s baby shower, so make it enjoyable and fun for everyone. Little things might not work out but that is life and not one person especially you being pregnant needs to worry about the things that are not in control! Make sure everyone is happy and enjoying themselves especially you! The day will come through and work out, and best of all you will be with your family and friends preparing for the new addition to your life! What could be any better than that!
