When I started this pattern, I wanted to create a pair of slippers that would look something like clogs, or mules. To achieve that effect, these slippers are created from three separate pieces – the sole, the heel, and the toe. The toe portion overlaps the heel both for stability and to create that lowered mule look. Everything is offset by contrasting yarn and the whole thing is wrapped up with a pair of (optional) laces that will gently wrap around the leg once and tie in front.
Cute, warm, and easy to keep on!
