1. Reduce Sugar Intake

2. Slow Down and Rest
Maintaining a busy schedule may allow you to accomplish many goals. On the other hand, improper rest takes a toll on your body. During cold and flu season, sufficient rest is critical. 5. Wash Your Hands
Periodically washing your hands is your body’s biggest defense mechanism. Each day, sick people use public restrooms, touch door knobs, and sneeze into their hands. Shaking hands with a sick person and then touching your nose or mouth immediately exposes you to the virus. Be conscious of sick friends, co-workers, or acquaintances. Make a habit of washing your hands upon arriving home each day, and frequently throughout the day. Get a travel bottle of anti-bacterial, and keep it in your purse, desk drawer, or car.
