Holiday season has that warm fuzzy feel about it, I don’t know if it is the hot cider or the mint chocolate milk or seeing that light in people’s eyes. Everyone seems to be hopeful and happy during the holidays. But that everyone is a small group of people, those who are fortunate to have a loving family, good health or fortunate enough to be born in this peaceful and wealthy land. What about children starving in Africa? How about sharing some holidays cheer and hope with them? How about sending them the gift of life, hope and strength?
This holiday season let us share the joy and help World Vision save children around the world. Here is how you can help:
Feed Hungry Children
Modest contribution of $25 will provide $200 worth of live saving food to the hungry children and their family in Africa. The gift will be combined with grant funds; it will have eight times the impact.
Become a Child Crises Partner
For $20 a month you can help exploited, adandoned and abused children. With the help of your contribution World Vision will provide them with safe shelter, food, counseling, health care and recovery. For more information on this program visit the link provided.
Sponsor an AIDS Orphan
With $35 per month, you can sponsor an AIDS Orphan in Africa.Your contribution will be used in providing the child with a nurturing environment, access to health care, education and food.
Donate to provide seeds, tools and training
Many African countries are facing severe crop failure and lack to tools and training, pushing them on the verge if facing a famine, your contribution of $32 will help them buy seeds, tools like hoes and watering cans and training on ways to produce more.
Help a rescued Child Solider
In countries like Congo , every year hundreds of children are abducted and forced to work as a child solider. Many are sexually abused and forced to work under harsh conditions. Your contribution of $30 will be used to provide them health care, food, trauma care and vocational training.
Africa’s children need help and we are in a position to help them. I mean, how much do you spend monthly on eating out or going for movie? You save that and contribute it World Visions’ programs to help the children in need, one does not need to billionaire like Warren Buffet or Bill Gates to practice philanthropy. Your little contribution can change someone’s life, how much better can it get?
