Everytime I see an article with the words “confessions of” in a the title, I admit, I have to stop and read it. I am curious by nature, and like to see glimpses of how other people really think. Based on the high ratings and popularity of these type of articles, I can see I am not the only one who likes a little truth now and then.
Truth is one of the most compelling aspects of art and writing. Think about artistic works that have touched you. They held some truth to them, even if the truth was not your own.
And what are we all confessing about? Addiction, chocolate, food, identity, work, writing, and youth.
I keep wishing I had a list of all the Confessions articles, so I decided to interrupt my other writing and compile the list. Second-hand confessional accounts are not included.
So here, they are, grouped by subject, for your reading pleasure.
