The weather during Spring Training in Port St. Lucie is phenomenal. In fact, it’s much better than you will experience at Shea Stadium for the entire first month and a half of the season. Because of the wind and frigid temperatures, night games are nearly impossible to endure at Shea, even in early May. Ticket prices at Tradition Field for the Mets’ preseason games are also much more reasonably priced. $25 for Premium Box Seats, $20 for Field Level Terrace, $10 for Reserved Upper, $6 for General Admission or the Lawn.

In 2007, the Mets will play sixteen games in Port St. Lucie, Florida, beginning with a game against the American League Champion Detroit Tigers on February 28th.
