How to Make Frightful Foods: Halloween Tip #1
• Bag of un popped popcorn
• 1 bag of marshmallows (10oz.)
• 3tbsp. butter or margarine
• 1 bag of Halloween candies (M&M’s, candy corn, etc.)
Air pop popcorn in microwave using a plain brown paper bag (lunch bag size). Melt bag of marshmallows and 3 tbsp. of butter/margarine. Mix in candy, popcorn and marshmallows carefully and form into medium size balls.
• 8 cups popped popcorn
• 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese (grated)
• ½ teaspoon garlic salt
• 1 teaspoon parsley
• 3 tablespoons butter
• 1 ¼ Italian seasoning
Melt butter in a sauce pan, and add parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic salt and parsley. Place popcorn in a large bowl and evenly drizzle Italian mixture over popcorn and gently coat.
Chocolate & Peanut Popcorn
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 10 cups of popped popcorn
• ¼ cup butter
• 2/3 cup light colored corn syrup
• Non-stick cooing spray
• 14 serving size package of instant chocolate pudding mix
• 1 cup peanuts
Spray a 17x12X2-inch pan with cooking spray. Place popcorn and peanuts in pan and keep warm in oven at 300 degrees. In a saucepan melt butter. Remove and add corn syrup, vanilla, and pudding mix. Pour the syrup over popcorn and peanuts and leave in oven for 15 at 300 degrees stirring once half way through cooking time.

Jack-O-Lantern Orange Punch
(Makes 32 6-ounce servings)
• 1 12-ounce can of frozen orange juice concentrate (thawed)
• Orange sherbet
• Orange food coloring
• 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
• 2 1-liter bottles of chilled club soda or ginger ale
In a large punch bowl combine milk, orange juice, and a drop of food coloring and add soda. Top with scoop of orange sherbet. SERVE IMMEDIATELY.
Ghoulish Hot Coca
(Makes 6-ounce servings)
• Marshmallow ghosts
• 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 medium orange
• 2/3 cup vanilla flavored baking pieces or vanilla flavored candy coating.
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 3 cups whole milk
• Whipped cream
Remove peel from of orange and set aside. In a sauce pan combine ¼ cup of milk, vanilla flavored baking pieces, orange peel, and nutmeg…whisk until baking pieces are melted . Remove orange peel. Whisk in the rest of the milk and heat through. Remove form heat and add vanilla. Serve warm and add a ghost and a dollop of whipped cream.
How to Make Frightful Foods: Halloween Tip # 3
(Makes appx. 9-12 ghosts)
• ¼ cup margarine or butter
• 6 cups crisp rice cereal
• Red hots
• Chocolate sprinkles
• 1 10-ounce bag of marshmallows
• 12 ounces vanilla flavored candy coating (melted)
In a large pot mix marshmallows, and butter. Mix until melted. Slowly stir in cereal and combine well. Use ½ to 1 cup of the cereal blend to make each ghost with a flat bottom to stand on its own. Set aside and cool. Finally dip each ghost into melted candy coating. Use red hots for eyes and mouth and use chocolate sprinkles for eyebrows.
• 1 bag of chocolate chips
• Marshmallow cream
• Gummy worms
• Non-Stick spray
In a double boiler melt chocolate chips. Lightly coat muffin pan with non-stick spray and pour in melted chocolate **JUST ENOUGH TO COVER BOTTOM AND SIDES** with a wooden spoon spread the melted mixture up toward the top of the muffin tin to make a “cup”. When chocolate is cool, add a dollop of marshmallow cream. Stick in gummy worms.
• Orange slice shaped jelly candies
• Small green gumdrops
Slice orange candies to make them have straight sides. Press the tow sticky side together. (This should make a pumpkin shape). Cut a small piece form the bottom of a green gum drop and press on top of the “pumpkin”
