On eleven days during the holidays, Brookfield Zoo will be transformed into a winter wonderland illuminated with more than three quarters of a million twinkling lights. Over 400 trees will be illuminated to create magical evenings at the zoo. Ice carvers will create magical works of art and magicians will entertain. Arlington Park Racetrack will be a sparkling wonderland of lights during the holiday season. the spectacular winter light show features 1.6 miles of a magical lighted wonderland to drive through. Fun for the whole family, this holiday extravaganza features millions of lights and hundreds of animated holiday scenes in sizes up to 40 feet by 100 feet. See all new displays such as: Twelve Days of Christmas, Night Before Christmas, Toy land, Snowman Land, Candy Land, North Pole Elf Company, Victorian Holidays and Teddy Bear Factory with Tumbling Teddy Bears. Marvel at the world’s largest light tunnel of 150,000 lights measuring 600 feet by 300 feet, in addition to 12 animated light bulb arches.The spectacular light show will run from November 23, 2006 to January 1, 2007. Arlington Race Track is located at 2200 West Euclid Avenue, just east of I-53. The admission, which is charged per car, benefits children and adults with disabilities who are assisted by Clearbrook. The Wonderland of Lights will be open on Monday through Thursday, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and the admission per car is $10.00. Located in Vernon Hills, a northwest suburb of Chicago, the Cuneo Museum is a historic Mediterranean style mansion, which offers tours and special events. During the Christmas holiday season, Cuneo Museum will present their fabulous light show on their grounds. The Cuneo Museum grounds will be illuminated with fanciful, lighted figures of animals, elves, and traditional characters from children’s stories. The drive through show opens daily at 6:00 PM and closes at 10:00 PM. Admission on Friday, Saturday and Sunday is $10 per car. Admission on Monday through Thursday is $5.00 per car.

The spectacular Cuneo Mansion is open for tours during the holiday season.
