After two weeks of daily intake of one can of SlimFast Optima, and one week without it, the results in this one case are conclusive: the weight loss drink not only does not decrease hunger, it can increase it. This weight loss product can also create severe headaches and migraines.
Erroneous Weight Loss Product Claim: “Controls Hunger Longer”
SlimFast Optima claims that it “control hunger longer.”
Longer than what, the consumer may wonder…longer than a comparable 190 calorie meal? No, longer than the “Original Slim-Fast Shake.” This is not really much of claim, since the original Slim-Fast Shake was plagued by many of the same problems as this newer weight loss product. The difference in how much longer this product controls hunger in comparison to the orginal product is negligible.
The bottom line is that SlimFast Optima does not stand up to its claim. In fact, within half an hour to 45 minutes of drinking a can of SlimFast Optima, people trying to lose weight may find themselves even hungrier than they were before they consumed the supposed diet drink.
Weight Loss Product with Real Sugar and Sucralose?
The reason that dieters may find themselves scrambling for some “real” food after drinking this weight loss drink is due to the amount of carbohydates and sugar in the product.
The *impending hunger may have to do with the 25 grams of carbohydrate, or with the simple fact that the the SlimFast Optima has a high concentration of sugar. Sugar is the third ingredient on the label, after fat-free milk and water. Sugar! Sugar does not aid weight loss.
In addition to sugar and sucralose, this weight loss product contains fructose, dextrose, which are just more ways to say, you guessed it, sugar.
With that much sugar, it is mind-boggling that the Unilever people would see fit to also add artificial sweetener, sucralose.
SlimFast Optima Could Hurt Your Head
The other problem with SlimFast Optima is that it contains hidden MSG. The number one offending chemical contained in this weight loss product by the Unliver family is calcium caseinate.
Calcium caseinate is a phosphoproteins which is a migraine trigger. Calcium casienate may also contain hidden MSG, a migraine-sufferers greatest foe.
Overall, the SlimFast Optima weight loss drink is an over-priced, chemcial ridden waste of money. Even when used as a simple on-the-go meal supplement or replacement, SlimFast Optima is not a good choice.
