For those athletes that have an avid interest, or even a passion for ice hockey, the place to be during the lazy hazy days of summer is the International Hockey School Summer Camp. Described as the ultimate ice hockey camp, this summer camp experience located at Detroit Lakes Minnesota will be the ice hockey summer camp that some can only dream about.
The ice hockey summer camp provided by the International Hockey School, and a member of the United States Hockey Camp Association is the supreme hockey camp learning center for ice hockey players. Campers have the opportunity to participate in Defense Camp, Girls Hockey Camp, Vladislav Tretiak Goalie School, Shooting Hockey Camp, and an Adult Hockey Camp. There are several other specialty camps offered throughout the summer from Peewee Training, Squirt Training, and Mite Training on up. The International Hockey School Ice Hockey Summer Camps are held at several locations throughout the Midwest and Southwest regions of the United States. The ice hockey summer camps will be held throughout June and July at designated locations.
Ice Hockey is a very intense sport offering participants ultimate physical and mental challenges. This is why the goal of instructors and coaches at ice hockey summer camp is to help players to improve and expand individual skills, and team skills. All registered campers will receive report cards, which will reflect their improved skills, a jersey, a Personalized Player Portfolio, a Certificate of Completion, and awards.
There are several options for camp. An overnight resident camp is offered which includes 24-hour staff supervision, all meals, housing, and the hockey camp program. There is also a Day Camp option, which consists of lunch, staff supervision and the hockey training program. All campers at the International Hockey School are supervised 24-hours per day by resident staff members. The camp has a zero tolerance policy on drugs, alcohol, theft, behaviors, and anything else of a deviant nature that disturbs the camp and or offends campers and staffers. Any offenses will result in campers being dismissed from ice hockey summer camp, while forfeiting camp tuition.
Though the International Hockey School program is a rigorous one, as coaches want campers to leave with improved skills and self-confidence, there is also the opportunity for fun. During free time there will be supervised swimming at the beach, mini golf, bowling, and other activities. There is also an area at each location contracted by the International Hockey School programs providing a recreation room where movies will be shown and pizza will be served nightly.
