This holiday season, those who love Peanuts are in for a special treat. Macy’s Department Stores are selling a stuffed Snoopy which is about 14 inches tall with a four inch Woodstock perched on top. Those who collect Snoopy’s will notice this particular one has a particularly large nose, large black floppy ears, and has a red sweatshirt bearing the name Macy’s on the upper right corner in yellow handwriting.
Of course Snoopy has a big smile on his face. This particular Snoopy and his sweatshirt have very soft fabric and are properly stuffed. Snoopy’s hooded sweatshirt can be unzipped partially but not all the way in an attempt to ensure the sweatshirt cannot become detached from Snoopy and lost.
While it is a hooded sweatshirt, the hood is not quite large enough to fit over Snoopy’s head. On top of Snoopy, Woodstock also has a red hooded sweatshirt but his does not have a zipper on it.
Attached to Snoopy’s left side with plastic clothes pins is an FM scanner radio. The radio, between the buttons and the speaker, has a design of Snoopy in the middle with musical notes and Woodstock flying near Snoopy’s head.
This particular Snoopy is made to sit even though it has legs and feet, it cannot be propped up due to the weight of Snoopy’s head and nose which weighs down on the stuffed animal.
The radio comes with earbuds to be plugged into the radio in a female outlet on the right hand side next to the volume dial. Two AAA batteries come with the radio.
The FM scanner radio scans for FM signals and there is a “Reset” button to refresh the radio’s memory to find radio stations emitting strong signals.
I have had FM scanner radios before and have found out that those stations with a particularly strong signal or within a 20 mile radius tend to be the only ones that come in.
Keep in mind any radio’s ability to pick up radio stations is based on terrain and weather conditions.A gray star is visible on the speaker and the rest of the radio is red.
Macy’s is selling this product for $14.95 with a $35 purchase while supplies last.
When I visited my local Macy’s the day after Black Friday, I noticed many Snoopy’s hanging around the jewelry counter, purse area, small electronics, and near the furniture department. If you are considering a holiday gift for that special someone, might I suggest buying this Snoopy.
While Snoopy makes a cute gift for children, the package and its plastic attachments should be removed before giving Snoopy to any child, especially children under 3 years of age. The radio and earphones are intended for ages 6 and up.
The stuffed animal is made in China and conforms to the safety requirements of ASTM F963.

This is the first Christmas season that many who shop at their local malls will have the opportunity to shop Macy’s.
While many malls had stores belonging to the May Department Store Chain these have been consolidated into the Federated Department Store Chain.
Macy’s operates stores formerly known as Filene’s, Kaufman’s, Hecht’s, Strawbridge’s, Kaufmann’s, Famous-Barr, L.S. Ayers, The Jones Stores, Marshall Field’s, Meier and Frank, Foley’s, Rich’s, Goldsmith’s, Lazarus, Shillito’s, Rike’s, Block’s, and Horne’s.
While some of these names retired decades ago, several of them such as Filene’s and Kaufman’s, have been retired only a few months ago.
Macy’s now has over 800 stores in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Guam.
Many of these stores are located in malls and have been recently renovated with other stand-alone department stores and furniture stores in lifestyle centers.
The stuffed animal was made exclusively for Macy’s and more information about this department store chain is available at www.macys.com.
Macy’s is offering a Snoopy gift card which has a hologram of Snoopy and is redeemable in Macy’s stores nationwide or at macys.com.
You can choose a denomination between $25 and $500.
The gift card comes with a mug with Snoopy’s sweet smores cocoa mix.
