Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), teaches those trying to lose weight that specific things can be done to fight this overeating problem. While EFT is easy to learn and an elimination process to block emotional events from interrupting normal eating patterns, it also helps create pattern eating for those who struggle with their weight. This strict psychological technique helps people get to the root of their emotional issue. These issues lead to control of cravings associated with binge eating.
First, attempt to stop eating this craving food entirely and/or modify your individual eating habits of the food. For example, change how often you eat it. If both of these solutions do not work, then maybe EFT is for you. Ultimately this addiction elimination pattern is a thought-alternating procedure originally created by the ancient healing practice of acupressure. When applied on your body within a do it yourself technique, it ultimately stops individuals from emotional overeating in a quick manner. This brings an overall improvement to the individual in their ability to eat in a normal manner. Ultimately, a healthy lifestyle results. Many people choose EFT because it is a confidential way to work on someone’s overeating problem. There is nothing to lose by trying it and it can ultimately lead to a healthier life for the individual. While not only clinically proven to work it also helps to relieve anxiety, pain, and stress as well. What else can you ask for!!
Why does EFT work for cravings?
First of all, no pills have been proven to be effect for a long-term diet. Ultimately they are ineffective because they do not teach the individual how to stop overeating, something that EFT does. By getting at the emotional link of their problem, EFT teaches someone how to act positively in result of a problem, and not use eating to mask the pain involved with it. While psychological at best, EFT is effective, and does work.
Many people who struggle with their weight eat too much sugar. By using EFT, they are allowed to be empowered and to learn how to take control of their own growth and change in their live. By taking time to recognize the emotions involved with a binge of a specific food i.e. Sugar, carbohydrates, etc. By getting at the root of the problem will help recognize what change needs to be made. This change can ultimately create a new eating pattern for the individual and lead to weight loss by suppressing various cravings.
At the beginning many people notice a lessened desire to have the craving food. Once this initial onset begins, you’re in like Flynn from there folks!! Reassure that you are fine without that food and the reason you can’t eat it is because you can’t control how much you indulge in. By continuously telling yourself that you will be ok without the food is the reassurance your mind needs to move on from being dependent on the food’s intake.
There is no reason to be rough with yourself. Being gentle and easy going will still allow EFT to work. Accept the process and let it work!! If it doesn’t work at first, it doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong, it’s just that your body is fighting your decision. EFT allows you to take the power of eating back into your own hands in hopes to allow you a healthier life and body. The attempt at fixing your overeating problem is admirable, working steady with EFT to fix the emotional aspect of it will lead to healthy success in the near future. Good luck!
