MILWAUKEE HOLIDAY LIGHTS FESTIVAL
Milwaukee will be dazzling with the spectacular lights festival planned from November 16, 2006 to January 7, 2007. On November 16 at 6:00 PM the holiday lights will switch on to the accompaniment of live music, great entertainment, music, sing-a-longs, and a brilliant fireworks display. Keep warm during the festivities of November 16, with free hot cocoa, coffee, and cookies.
“Fairytale Dreams” at Pere Marquette Park, located at West Kilbourn and Old World Third Streets has invited toy soldiers, a holiday wizard to create a whimsical, playful scene along with an animated fountain and castle spectacular.
“Community Spirit Park: at Cathedral Square Park located at North Jefferson and East Wells Streets features over 30 area schools as they deck evergreens with handmade ornaments. The fresh evergreens will surround a 50 foot tree of ever-changing lights.
“Holiday Circus Fun: and Zeidler Union Square, located at West Michigan between Third and Fourth Streets. will have an animated three ring circus. The holiday circus will have a carousel display, elephant sculpture, tightrope walker, trapeze scene and a giant red teddy bear.
JINGLE BUS CONNECTION
Tour the holiday lights displays from the comfort and convenience of the Jingle Buss. At the economical price of $1.00, the Coach USA bus will tour the lighting displays though out the downtown parks, as well as the storefront displays. The Official Warming House is at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. At the Hilton’s Street entrance there will be free hot cocoa, and cookies. The Jingle Bus will operate Thursdays through Sundays, November 16 through December 30, 6 to 9 PM. The Jingle Buss will not operate on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day. THE MILWAUKEE HOLIDAY PARADE
The 80th annual Milwaukee Holiday Parade will be held on November 18, 2006. The Parade will commence in downtown Milwaukee at 9:30 AM and last until approximately 10:30 PM. The Parade has been an annual tradition since 1927. The festive parade will be televised on Fox 6.
HOLIDAY FOLK FAIR

The Holiday Folk Fest is a colorful international event, offering a feast for your eyes, ears, and taste buds. CHRISTMAS IN THE WARD
The historic Third Ward enjoys old world Christmas spirit on Friday, December 1 at 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, December 2 at 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The charming, scenic streets will be visited by Santa. There will be carriage rides, music, carolers, street entertainers and a wide variety of shops and galleries to explore. After the tree lighting on Friday, the sky will be illuminated by a dazzling fireworks display.
THE DOMES: MITCHELL PARK CONSERVATORY
PEACE ON EARTH is the holiday theme in the floral gardens of the Mitchell Park Conservatory. There are three domes at the fabulous botanical gardens. Visit a desert oasis, tropical garden, or floral display. The Peace on Earth display will be held in the floral gardens. Details about the holiday display are not available, but it usually involves a dramatic display of poinsettias. Spend a delightful, relaxing few hours in the indoor botanical gardens enjoying the colorful holiday display. The Mitchell Parks Horticultural Conservatory, known as The Domes, is located at 524 S Layton Boulevard in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
