Imagine yourself walking into a room filled with the wonderful aroma of fresh baked cinnamon buns. You choose the biggest, gooey-est cinnamon bun you can find. You can feel the warmth through the bottom of the plate it’s on, telling you that it was made fresh. The bun is so big that you need a fork to eat it! You cut into your first bite, icing dripping down the sides. Your taste-buds explode as the warm morsel enters your mouth, leaving you hungry for more.
Oh no! You’re thirsty! Better help yourself to some of that smooth, rich coffee. You choose a Mocha Blast and are immediately satisfied as the cool, sweet liquid travels down your throat. You try not to drink it too quickly, as you want at least savor some of the heavenly flavor to last.
Does this sound good to you? That’s the experience you will have at Cinnabon. At least, that is the experience I’ve had every single time I’ve gone, regardless of which Cinnabon I have visited. Whether at a rest stop on the Jersey Turnpike or while shopping in the Smithaven Mall, the fresh-baked cinnamon bun aroma lifts me into a sensory ecstasy.
HISTORY OF CINNABON
The original Cinnabon opened in 1985 in the Sea Tac Mall in Seattle, WA. Only the Classic Cinnabon Rolls were available, as well as a few drinks. The Cinnabon chain certainly has come a long way. As a matter of fact, Cinnabon brags on their website (www.cinnabon.com) that they were named the #1 restaurant chain in the USA by Epinions!
Gosh, I’m just getting hungry in anticipation of writing some of the delightful treats that Cinnabon has to offer. Of course, there is the Classic Cinnabon Roll. This is the large, gooey, aromatic cinnamon bun that is served piping hot to customers. After all, each Cinnabon pastry is baked right in front of the patrons. The Minibon is the smaller version of the Classic Cinnabon Roll. The Caramel Pecanbon is a sinfully delicious cinnamon roll topped with frosting, caramel and pecans. Cinnabon Stix were introduced in 2001, and are served warm with frosting to dip into. Finally, the Apple Minibon was just introduced– It only had 5 grams of fat.
Wait! There’s more!
Don’t forget about the frosty beverages that Cinnabon offers. Besides regular fountain and bottled drinks, Cinnabon offers some excellent signature beverages. The two main ones are the Mochalotta Chill and the CarameLatta Chill. Both of these drinks are coffee-based, which perfectly complement any Cinnabon pastry that you choose.
The Cinnabon products are very well-priced. You get a huge Cinnabon and a drink for just about $5. Of course, price is contingent on what you order. However, regardless of what you do order, you will be completely satisfied. Be sure that you don’t eat one too soon before dinner, or you won’t be able to eat dinner at all. If it’s near mealtime and you want a snack, go for the Minibon.
Items at Cinnabon are loaded with calories and fat. It’s a nice treat every once in a while, but don’t go overboard. If you’re having company stay at your house, take a Cinnapack home to heat up for breakfast one morning. Surprise your honey with a Cinnabon… It’s sure to make them smile.
