Through May 28th kids can explore “My Home Planet Earth” at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History in Texas.
The event, which started Jan. 27th, allows children to explore squirrels Riff and Rosie through an interactive exhibit that teaches them how food, water, and air relate to their health.
Hours are Mon.-Thurs., 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Fri. and Sat., 9-8, and Sun. 11:30-5:30.
General admission is $8; senior citizens and children three to 12 are $7, and two and under get in free.

Feb. 10th get healthy in a run/walk by choosing from a 10K, 5K, or 1K course with proceeds benefiting educational opportunities for kids in North Texas. The event is being held from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Museum of Nature & Science, 3535 Grand Avenue in Dallas. The race also includes Discovery Fest, a one-day science festival. On Valentine’s Day take in “Dinner in the Diner” at 6 p.m. at the Age of Steam Railroad Museum, 1105 Washington Street at the Dallas Railway Museum. Romance and love characterize this event which is a party of entertainment and railroad dining recipes served in a restored M-K-T dining care. All couples receive chocolates and a rose. “An Affair of the Art” will be held Feb. 24th at 7 p.m. at the Dallas Museum of Art, 1717 N. Harwood Street (214-922-1344). The gala is inspired by a famous Matisse exhibit, boasting open seating, lounge areas, a tapas-style dinner, and live entertainment. Later people vote on a new piece of art for the museum’s permanent collection.
Enjoy Oscar night at the annual “Oscar Night America” Feb. 25th at 7 p.m. at the Studio Movie Grill in Addison located at 5405 Belt Line Road. The event raises money for local educational programs. For information, call 214-821-6300.
