Her name is Anne Marie…
It’s a fancy name fer a special woman that exemplifies love. Ya might call her mom, half pint, honey, nurse, sister, daughter, stubborn, wife or any number of titles that would be true. You might say she just like her mom or dad and that might be true at times. You might say she is sweet or fiery hot tempered but the truth is she’s both.
Annie wanted to be a nurse. Her folks were not able to help much financially but gave her a foundation of hard work and support string enough to git her through any difficult time that life could throw at her. Her dad had told her once… “Now git in there and show ’em how good we know you are !” Annie does that everyday with out thinkin’ it’s anythin’ out of the ordinary.
Anne is one of those wonderful women that knows what she wants and goes out to git it. She hated the thought of goin’ into debt to git an education. She began to work toward her nursin’ degree in a unique way. She got a nail tech license. This allowed her to make a livin’ and save towards her goal. She also waited table, worked as a hostess, washed dishes and windows too. On graduation day she stood before family and friends givin’ them the angel sign to remind all of those that weren’t bodily present were carryin’ her in this day of glory.
Today ya might find Annie workin’ as an Emergency Room nurse, nursin’ one of the critically ill folks that need her. Ya might find her bakin’ cookies fer one of her three children or givin’ them an example of carin’ She does wonderful little things like bake cookies fer the EMS/Fireman that bring the hurtin’ folks into the ER. Ya might find her cheerin’ up her fellow employees with singin’ camp songs or makin’ a pot of soup with her dedicated hands to bring nutritian into their long work day. Ya might find her makin’ a special supper fer her in-laws when they return from a long charter on the lake. Ya might find her holdin’ her dad’s hand as he goes through another health crisis. Ya might even find her towin’ her brother down the street as he rides his skate board. Ya might find her on her hands and knees, her mane of auburn hair pulled into a pony tail, playin’ tug of war with the puppy, nursin’ the littlest one, comfortin’ the other two children, makin’ a homemade pizza fer her hubby, and comfortin’ a friend on the phone all at once.
I know all this is the truth, no bragin’ just facts. Ya see this wonderful woman is my baby daughter and I’ve seen this all evolve in a few short years of hard work with a stubborn focus on her goals.
