My husband and I are always looking for a fun family place to take our children to eat. A place we found is called, Logan’s RoadHouse restaurant in Citrus Heights California. We like Logan’s RoadHouse for many reasons.
The staff is very friendly. The hostess greeted us with a friendly smile. She asked how many people want to be seated. She asked if the children needed highchairs. She walked us to our table and handed us the menus. She gave our children some coloring paper with crayons to help keep them busy. She asked if we wanted anything to drink while we wait for our server. She came back within a few minutes with our drink order and a basket of buttered rolls. Soon after our server approached us with a big smile on her face. She welcomed us and asked us if we were interested in ordering an appetizer such as their loaded potato skins or Buffalo wings. She then asked if we were ready to order. I asked her what was good and she shared with me a few of her personal favorites. For example, she suggested the teriyaki grilled chicken, coastal shrimp and mesquite grilled pork chops. I thought they all sounded wonderful. I ordered the mesquite grilled shrimp and my husband ordered the teriyaki-grilled chicken. The server said, “Would you like soup or salad with your meal?” My husband and I both picked salads with our meal. She then asked, “What two side dishes do you want with your meal?” There was so much to choose from such as fries, rice pilaf and vegetables. Our children are young enough so my husband and I decided to share our food with them. About fifteen minutes after ordering we received our meal. The entrees appeared attractive and delicious. I took one bite of my shrimp and thought it tasted very good. It tasted fresh and full flavor. The vegetables that came with were fresh and crunchy. My husband also liked his chicken dish. He said, “This chicken is marinated very well. Every bite is tender and juicy.” The server was very knowledgeable and informative about the dish. I appreciated the time she took to explain the menu. She was also friendly with our children. She talked with our children and made them feel comfortable at the restaurant.
While waiting for my meal I decided to go to the ladies bathroom and wash my hands. The restroom was clean, free of odor and well stocked. As I was walking back to my table from the restroom I noticed the décor. They had paintings on the walls of country western dancers dancing. The paintings were fun to look at. They also had other western décor such as a saddle and a cowboy hat stuck on the wall.
The food varies in price. The food ranges between $8 – $23 dollars. The most expensive item is the Logan’s prime rib at $23.99 not including tax. The price is well worth the amount of food you get. They give you rolls, soup or salad and two side dishes with your entrée. I highly recommend the mesquite-grilled shrimp. It came with two skewers and tasted wonderful. My husband said, “I would recommend the teriyaki grilled shrimp. The meat is marinated and cooked very well.”
We would recommend Logan’s RoadHouse. They have excellent food, service and atmosphere.
