The Place at South Park
2001 Runnymede lane Charlotte North Carolina, 877-592-7873. This North Carolina Retirement Community offers assisted living, Alzheimer’s care and other services. They have exercise classes, gardening, musical guests, arts&crafts, movies, bingo and much more. They have a resident care team overseen by a nurse and an administrator, they oversee specially trained resident assistants. They offer private individual apartments, fully carpeted with individual climate control and emergency call buttons.
They offer single family homes ideal for retired people, and bigger homes as well. They have close access to Charlotte and all it offers, but not the rush and bustle of being in the center of town. Mild winters and summers make this a great climate for seniors. Warning these are not cheap homes but not terribly expensive either. Take a look and judge for yourself. This is more or less a housing development and I didn’t see a reference to assisted care.
3600 Park Road Charlotte NC, (704) 523-4849. Situated on 8 acres of trees and bushes. They have on site physical therapy, 24 hour available trained staff, they welcome pets, anytime café with complimentary food and beverages, among many more nice things available. I think they have the most beautiful rooms of any pictured on the sites I reviewed for this article.
