When it comes to dining out, my family is usually torn between cost and taste. As a family of six, living on a budget, we try to watch our spending at restaurants. We often prefer the value and speed of fast-food restaurants such as McDonald’s or Taco Bell. Sometimes we are just in the mood for a buffet or a meal that is more like home made. When a moment like this strikes, we turn into our local KFC restaurant in Greenville, Ohio.
The only thing harder than deciding where to eat is to please everyone’s palate. It can be difficult to please the pickiest members of my family. Luckily, KFC fit’s the bill.
KFC offers something for everyone. Their menu includes everything from snacks to dessert. One of my favorite items is the popcorn chicken. This item is available in in family or personal sizes. The personal portion is terrific for a snack or light meal by itself. Add a side or two for a filling meal. The family size popcorn chicken is fabulous for feeding the entire family. Grab a large side of mashed potatoes and gravy or mac and cheese to complete the meal.
The buffet is available at the Greenville, Ohio KFC. The buffet typically offers a couple of varieties of chicken. The barbecue chicken is slightly messy, but worth it. Just grab a few extra napkins. With the buffet, you can satisfy the argument of which sides are the best. If your family is like mine, you need to order a helping of every side to satisfy the masses. Instead, try the buffet. I absolutely love KFC’s cole slaw. My husband and four children have yet to acquire this taste. With the buffet, I can get my fill of this delicious side dish without having to order my own personal dish.
The food on the buffet is always fresh. I have never had food that was cold when it should have been hot. The cold foods on the bar are cool and refreshing. Customers can sample anything from corn and green beans to cole slaw and potatoes on the buffet. Cottage cheese, biscuits, and pudding are also available.
The only complaint we have ever had about the food was an accident. My child wanted a gizzard and mistakenly grabbed a chicken liver from the buffet. We have always been impressed by the flavorful food we have received at KFC.
You will pay more at KFC than you would at McDonald’s or Taco Bell. If you are looking for extremely cheap, then KFC is not the way to go, but if you are willing to pay comparable prices for a family-style restaurant then drop on by KFC. The buffet costs about $8 for an adult. Two adults and four children cost about $35 per visit. Three adults ordering meals cost us $25 a couple of weeks ago. These prices are estimated and include drinks.
The service at KFC in Greenville, Ohio is excellent. The staff is eager to help if you request it. A friend repeatedly returned to the counter to ask for additional dipping sauce. She was greeted with a smile every time. The tables are clean and the bar is fresh.
The bathrooms have been hit or miss. A few times we have needed to use the facilities, the restrooms were clean and orderly. On our last visit to KFC in Greenville, the men’s bathroom was a wreck. My husband even chose to wait until we went to Wal-Mart rather than go at KFC. The restaurant was rather busy on that particular afternoon, so possibly the staff hadn’t gotten around to it. Still, I would pass on the bathroom…just in case.
When time is tight, but taste wins out, I highly recommend KFC in Greenville, Ohio.
