Degree deodorant for men used a unique concept for there ad. A young man puts on his degree deodorant before he leaves for work. The next moment he is on his way with a series of spectacular stunts and events taking place around him. It kind of reminded me of a secret agent running through a gauntlet of potential catastrophes and narrow escapes. It was fast paced and action intensive. It kept my interest very well.
The makers of this commercial packed in action and impact in 30 sec. It left me wanting for more. The commercial was exciting and its choice of stunt people showed a very professional feel.
The Ford commercial introduced Kermit the Frog. The scene opens up with Kermit singing “It’s not that easy being green”. The commercial showed Kermit on a bicycle traveling down a country road. Then a kayak paddling down a river. Then it shows Kermit climbing up a cliff. He finally enters a clearing and sees a Ford Escape and says “I guess it is easy being green”.
Although, I love Kermit the Frog I felt the commercial was too cute. I would of loved seeing maybe Kermit driving the vehicle or as a passenger with another actress or celebrity.
American Idol commercial had Katharine McPhee sitting in a vehicle with Kermit the Frog and she gives Kermit a kiss. A commercial with Kermit I think would have been better along with another live person preferably female.
Although, the Ford commercial was cute it fell kind of flat at the end. Another option could of been to have a few more Muppets in that commercial singing together.
The next commercial I reviewed was about Go daddy.com. The scene opens with a guy in a red convertible driving down a dusty road. He pulls into a gas station and up to a girl in a pair of cut-off jeans and a tee-shirt. She washes his car in a very seductive steamy way.
Being a male of course the commercial held my interest. However, I felt the commercial was a little too much to sell domains and web hosting. The second Go daddy commercial was the same girl sitting in a chair being interviewed by another male. This commercial gave a representation of job interview for some type of show or play. It was little calmer than the first one. This one would was still sexy but it would appeal to male and female alike more than the first one.
When is comes to selling web hosting you want to be able to reach both sexes and different age groups. I felt Go daddy would of had a little more success with a different approach.
