For senior citizens who either need or want to make a change in their living arrangements, there are many choices available and the choices cover all levels of care, from those are completely independent to those who need 24 hours care. The abundance of excellent senior citizen communities is a boon to the ever growing senior citizen population. Be prepared to be on a waiting list in most cases, though. Another alternative is for the senior citizen to remain in his present home and receive in home care from an agency like the one listed here. The senior citizen must meet certain requirements and they may require that a family member also live in the home, but it is the right choice for some and a good option while waiting for an apartment in one of the communities.
