Shareadspace.com is a traffic exchange website that has tried to make things fun for people that are looking to get “hits” to their website by playing a game similar to the tv show “Deal or No Deal”. The owner of the site has created his own version called “Trade Or No Trade”. Before I explain the game, I will explain to those of you that don’t know what a traffic exchange site is how it works.
A traffic exchange is somewhere that members can advertise their web pages. They will put their web page in their list of sites to advertise and wait for it to be approved by the traffic exchange owner. Then they will need to earn or buy “credits” to assign to their site. Usually credits are worth 1 view of your website by another member. Other ways you earn credits are by referring other members to the site, or paying an upgrade fee.
Now on to the “Trade Or No Trade Game”. After viewing anywhere from 4-8 websites of other members based on the upgrade level you purchase (if you are a free member you see the game ever 8 pages, the top upgrade varies in price but right now is about $4.25 per week and lets you play the game every 4 pages you view). The game is very similar to “Deal or No Deal”. There are 32 numbers on the screen , these are the number of credits you can win. There are also 28 boxes. To start the game you choose a box. Then each time you go to the game screen you choose a box and it reveals the number of credits in that box (meaning they can’t be in the one you chose). As you advance in the game you will get offers from “the banker”, at first you will have to choose 6 boxes before getting an offer but as the game goes further on the period in between offers gets shorter eventually down to after each box you open.
There are some differences though in the game. Shareadspace has a couple twists. The first is shuffles. You can get shuffles by upgrading or winning them randomly as you surf. If you use a shuffle it will take all 32 numbers and redistribute them among the “revealed and not revealed” numbers. To explain, say you have revealed the 2000 credit box and the 1000 credit box and wish you still had them in play so you could get better offers form the banker (and possibly win them). If you hit shuffle, maybe instead of the 1000 and 2000 being off the list it will be the 0 and 100 credits that are off the list. You can use these up through about halfway through the game. The other twist if you can get “hints” either randomly surfing or based on your upgrade level. By clicking the “hint” when it’s time to choose a box the computer will do it for you and will choose a box with one of the 5 lowest remaining numbers of credits so that’s eliminated. Again you can use hints until about halfway through the game. By using these “twists” strategically you can maximize your chances at winning the large numbers of credits!
You do not have to pay money to join the site, that is only if you want to upgrade. The owner of the site has made the prices of the upgrades variable due to how much they are worth at the current time based on number of members, number of sites and other factors that he keeps to himself (hey he can’t tell us everything now, has to keep his model hidden a little you have to understand). The upgrades includes free “twists” per game and the “twists” are obviously better in the higher value upgrade packages.
There is one other little trick with the site. Each page you search the computer chooses a number for yourself and itself. If they match you will win a small cash award. Sometimes if they are one away, you will get an award such as a shuffle or hint to be used when you wish. Finally, if you refer people to the site using your “referral link”, you get 5% of any credits or cash your referrals win. Don’t worry, they don’t take that away from your referral, it’s extra that the site gives you, your referral still keeps all their credits and cash.
Most traffic exchanges are rather boring, but with “trade or no trade” Shareadspace is a fun and interesting way to get hits to sites you are advertising!
