Sleep away camps are not the only alternative for a positive summer experience. There are many institutions in Boston that operate summer day camp programs. They offer everything from sports to theater, whatever the child is interested in, there will be a program that fits. Day camps are a good choice for a couple of reasons, one of which is the cost. Sleep away camps can go as high as $1,000 a week and that is simply not within the budget of many people these days. And not every child is the type to enjoy a sleep away camp. Boston Children’s Theater

Boston Children’s Theater operates a summer camp for children who and entering the second grade up to seventh grade. They will get a full immersion in the arts and for a child who loves to perform this will be a perfect program. There will be classes in acting, dance, vocal music, design, play writing, juggling and more, virtually everything child needs to learn about entertainment. They have two session and the child can attend either one or both.
