If you’re looking for the best deals possible on your groceries, eating out, and other purchases, chances are that you are looking for coupons online as part of your cost cutting strategy. There are so many websites dedicated to offering coupons online that it can be difficult to sort through all of them. Here’s a guide to finding the best deals:
Groceries: Finding decent printable grocery coupons online can be extremely frustrating. Websites such as Cool Savings, SmartSource, and Eversave are touted as good spots to find grocery coupons online, but they offer limited selection and require that you provide your personal information to them. Certain brands such as Nestle and Pampers will offer you coupons online if you sign-up on their websites (you’ll have to give out your personal information here also). You may also want to check your local grocery store’s website to see if they offer coupons online (some do and some don’t – it just depends upon what the competition is doing in your area). If you’re looking for the best grocery coupons, your best bet remains clipping them from the Sunday newspaper or using a website such as The Coupon Clippers which clips the coupons from the paper for you and sends them to you for a shipping/handling fee.
Retailers: Websites such as DealCatcher offer discount codes for online shopping, as well as printable coupons that can be used in-store. I’ve found that the best way to find bargains for both online and in-store shopping is to complete a specific internet search for a coupon, searching by the store that I’m looking for. For example, if I’m looking for the latest Gap online deal, I’ll search for “Gap online coupon code” and this will usually give me plenty of options, with the most up-to-date deals often listed first. Most retailers do offer online discounts, so it definitely makes sense to search for these coupon codes before doing any online shopping. Babies ‘R Us, The Children’s Place, and Old Navy are among the retailers which periodically offer in-store coupons online.
Restaurants: National restaurants such as Red Lobster and Red Robin will periodically send you coupons online if you complete the sign-up process on their websites. I’ve even found Friday’s coupons online by completing an internet search such as the retailer one that I outlined above. You can find local restaurant coupons online using Valpak’s website and I’ve also found that some of our local restaurants will send you coupons online if you sign-up for their frequent diner programs.
