Fallons Creative Flowers has a number of locations throughout the city and in the area. Their stores are an excellent place to pick up a special bouquet for valentines. They have an excellent reputation for delivering. What I like best is they will give you a call if they are having any difficulty locating the delivery point. On Valentines Day it is refreshing to know that they will make sure it gets to your loved one. They also have event planning books in their many stores.

Finally one of the changes in the last decade is the emergence of the neighborhood grocery store as a flower shop.
Harris Teeter actively advertises its flower departments as florist shops. They have a wide selection of flowers and arrangements available. From a price perspective the prices in Harris Teeter are often lower than the traditional flower shop. The still don’t offer the total range of services that the traditional shops offer. For the wife or a small event where you are picking up the flowers, these shops can be a very good choice.
My wife likes these stores because she can also pick up a well made cake and all the trimmings to make for a complete event.

I know, I said three and there are four here. That is one of the problems with Raleigh and North Raleigh in particular. There are so many fine businesses and so many wonderful selections. The way I figure it, Sister’s is primarily a catering business so they don’t count as one. Of course the same could be said for Harris Teeter being a grocery store first. On the other hand if you want to plan a catering event and you want flowers, the convenience of getting it all done in one place can be great. And while I always go to the traditional flower stores like Watkins and Fallons, my wife goes to Harris Teeter or Krogers when she wants flowers. I figure between the two of them, most folks would consider at least one of them to be a flower shop.
