Unique in and of itself, it is definitely one of the most distinguished of it’s kind, as it is affiliated with Middlebury College, one of America’s most valuable literary institutions.

Breadloaf Writer’s conference has been held for 81 years in the scenic and tranquil Vermont mountains. There are workshops, lectures, and classes, and networking pairing writers of all generations to mix, mingle, and share in their creative thought processes.

Breadloaf has a practical approach applying theory to the craft of writing, as well as literary instruction based on models that have already been proven as successful. This why Breadloaf is one of the top writer’s conferences around, and has the loyal following that it does.

Held in June the Santa Barbara Writers Conference is definitely the place to be as a writer on the west coast, or anywhere else. Plan your summer to join fellow writer’s in Santa Barbara. In a single week you will meet a multitude of writers, editors, agents, and other professionals who are eager and willing to share, inspire, and guide you along the path of your literary career.

For the year 2007, the conference will be held the week of June 22 through June 29th, in Santa Barbara California. So, come prepared to work hard, have fun, experience your passion, and learn what you can from the professionals. The meeting place for this event is Fess Parker’s Doubletree Resort in Santa Barbara. One of the finest resorts in the area, the staff is used to dealing with the writer’s conferences, so you will be in a comfortable environment, with many amenities at your disposal, as the staff is prepared to deal with an onset of writers.

The founders of the Santa Barbara Writer’s Conference have always been intent on providing new, emerging, and established writers with the tools necessary to improve their writing skills. By providing an environment with like minds that are willing to share their expertise in the craft, this is a win-win situation for all involved. New writers want to be discovered, and editors, agents, and publishing houses are always looking for new writers.

All of the workshop leaders are highly credentialed and eager and excited to shape, mold, and leader the writers put in their charge. The Arizona State University Writer’s Conference held annually in February is an incredible experience with renown faculty members and guest speakers. Scheduled for February 21st through 24th on the Arizona State University Campus in Tempe, there is still time for registration, but keep in mind space is limited.

One of the top writer’s conferences in the United States, this event is sponsored annually, by the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing, and further the future of new, emerging, and established writers. All of the workshop leaders are highly credentialed and eager and excited to shape, mold, and leader the writers put in their charge. Faculty members include poets such as Sally Ball, Tony Hoagland, Cynthia Hogue, and Carolyn Forche. In the fiction department look forward to meeting notables such as Bernard Cooper, Walter Moseley, T.M. McNally, and Gail Tsukiyama.

Those in attendance will find themselves among very talented peers as well as many famous published authors. The structure of the conference allows ASU to offer readings and interviews with authors, as well as panels on the writing life and the publishing industry.
