Here are instructions making a Valentine’s Day version of this classic game, and for making cute Valentine’s Day candy holders.
Valentine’s Day BINGO Game
Play Bingo with a Valentine’s Day twist. This game is fun to make and fun to play!
Construction paper in holiday colors
Pens or Magic Markers
Candy hearts, M&Ms, or something similar to set on the numbers as they’re called
A container to pull the numbers from
Step 1 ~
Cut a piece of construction paper into fourths, giving you four game boards. Or just use a full sheet per board, if you want to make a giant size game.
Step 2 ~
Use the ruler and a pen or marker to draw a grid on each game board. Each board should have five columns and six rows, for a total of 30 squares on each one.
Step 3 ~
In the top row of squares on each card, (where they would normally say B-I-N-G-O), print a Valentine’s Day themed word in block letters. For example, you could print H-E-A-R-T, or U-R-A-Q-T (‘you are a cutie’), or H-U-G-M-E.
Step 4 ~
In each column, fill in the remaining five block with random numbers. In the first column, choose five random numbers from 1 to 15. In the second column chose five random numbers from 6 to 30. In the third column choose five random numbers from 31 to 45. In the fourth column choose five random numbers from 46 to 60. In the fifth column choose five random numbers from 61 to 75. Make the numbers different on each card!
Step 5 ~
Use another sheet of paper and 75 slips of paper. Put the numbers 1 through 75 on those slips, and put them into the container for the number-caller to draw from.
Step 6 ~
Play the game! Give each player enough candies to cover their numbers as the numbers are called, (each player could need up to 25 pieces), and a card. Have one person be the number-caller, drawing one slip of paper at a time from the container and calling it out loudly for every player to hear. Each player will cover any number they have that is called until there is a winner. Give out Valentine’s Day treats as prizes.

Valentine’s Day Candy Holders
Make these cute candy dishes and fill with treats for your Valentine!
Small terra cotta pots (about 3 inches tall)
Small Valentine’s Day candies to fill the pots with
Step 1 ~
Start by painting the terra cotta pots with a base color of craft paint. Depending on the density of your paint, you may need to put on more than one layer to get good coverage. Allow them to dry in between layers of paint, and then let them dry thoroughly after the last coat.
Step 2 ~
Add decoration to the pots by using contrasting colors to paint on Valentine-themed designs, such as hearts, Cupid’s bow and arrow, and so on. If you’d rather, you can apply Valentine’s stickers instead of painting the designs on. This is an especially good alternative if you’re doing this project with small children that might get frustrated trying to draw the designs onto the pots.
Step 3 ~
If you’re doing this as a group, label the bottom of the pots with each child’s initials and the date. Someday you’ll be glad you labeled these treasures!
Step 4 ~
After the pots have had an chance to dry completely, fill them with the candies. Tie a ribbon around the pot if you’d like to. Now you can deliver them to your Valentines!
