Valentine’s Day parties are not just for little kids. In fact, it’s really fun to invite another couple to have Valentine’s Day dinner with you and your partner, the weekend before Valentine’s Day. This is such a fun way to get ready for the holiday. Both couples could pitch in some money and have a wonderful dinner. If you decide to invite several couples, you could serve appetizers instead. Regardless, this is a wonderful party for adults. To make this party even better, why not make some Valentine’s Day crafts to add to the dining room table? You could even make the invitations yourself. So this year, why not share Valentine’s Day weekend with some of your closest friends as well?
Valentine’s Day Crafts #1: Centerpiece
This is such a fun craft that also adds a nice smell to the room. To make this Valentine’s Day craft you will need a large hurricane vase, a large, white pillar candle, and a large bag of Red Hots candy shaped like hearts. This is such an easy craft, but it’s a nice addition to your table. First fill the hurricane vase with the candy and then place in the candle. To make the table setting even more special you could add small plates filled with Red Hots that will hold your place cards. About 10-15 minutes before the party starts light the candle. As the wax drips onto the candy, the smell of cinnamon will fill the air. You could also make this Valentine’s Day craft with sticks of cinnamon and then just add red ribbon the outside of the vase. Either way this will add a beautiful touch to your Valentine’s Day dinner table.
Valentine’s Day Crafts #2: Rose Petal Invitation Cards
You will want to prepare this Valentine’s Day craft a week before your dinner party. For this craft you will need white card stock, roses, glue, a foam brush, water, a small bowl, and a red Sharpie. To make this craft lay the card stock out horizontally and write the name of the event, the date, and the time. After the marker card has dried, mix the glue with a small amount of water, just enough to thin it out. Next lay out the rose petals along the edges of the card. Take the glue mixture and apply it over the rose petal with the foam brush. This will allow the rose petals to stick to the card without making a mess. This also helps to preserve the rose petals. These invitations end up looking so beautiful and are just perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day Crafts #3: Candy Place Cards
This Valentine’s Day craft will take you and your guests back to your childhood. For this craft all you will need is white place cards, a red Sharpie marker, glue, and conversation hearts. First write the names on the cards and then glue the conversation hearts around the border of the place cards. These are so cute. Children and adults both love conversation hearts, that’s why I suggest also giving your guests a small bag of conversation hearts to take home. They will love picking out conversation hearts to give to their sweetie.
I hope you will consider having a Valentine’s Day party and that you will also consider making some of these crafts to add to your party. Remember, a Valentine’s Day party is not just for kids. Adults can easily throw a Valentine’s Day party that is not only fun but also mature. So, invite your closest friends and enjoy Valentine’s Day and all the fun crafts that come with it.
