To Make a Vintage Sheet Music Wall Art Project You Will Need:
9 Canvases (Already Stretched on Wood)
Vintage Sheet Music
Paint Rollers (One small and one large)
Foam Paint Brush
Picture Hanging Hooks
Wood gel stain
Now, you can go online and print out sheet music from free online sources. You can also use books of Vintage Sheet Music and have them photocopied at Kino’s.
Be sure to have them blown up large to size. Finally, you can use store-bought sheet music or even hymnals.
Now, take your Vintage Sheet Music or photocopies of Vintage Sheet Music. You want to cut them down to the same size as your canvas, but about three inches bigger on each side.
Now, simply rip the edges to create uneven rough edges. To do this us your paint brush and dip it in water. Paint along the edge of the paper and then rip off the wet edge.
You could also cut your Vintage Sheet Music out with pinking sheers or bend them over the edge of a table and rip along the edges that way.
Finally, you could always tear you Vintage Sheet Music photocopies into large pieces.
Now you are ready to start applying the Vintage Sheet Music to your canvases.
The first step is to roll a coat of decoupage onto your canvas. The entire canvas; front and all the sides. Completely paint all sides of the canvases in this first paint color.
