What does the word psychic really mean? Isn’t it someone that hears a word from God? Since I was a child, I was always taught that psychics are evil and not good people. I used to attend a born again Christian church when I was a child and I knew in my heart that I was called to be a prophet. Many members of the church supported my call and I was convinced that God wanted me to help people through my prophetic gift.
Each day I would read the Holy Bible and ask God to make it clear as to what he wanted me to do. I actually attended seminary and I was an assistant pastor of a church as well. I knew that I was called to help people from a prophetic realm and not just from a pastoral realm. How would I be able to support myself as a prophet though I asked myself?
I knew that the church supported pastors and missionaries with a salary. However, prophets were not supported financially and often looked down upon because of the skepticism of their personal calling. My calling actually burned inside of my heart and I knew that I had to work in my calling full time.
I was a full time soldier, pastry chef, supply clerk, assistant pastor at different times in my life. I held many different job titles, but I was never able to find pleasure in any of the work that I did. I said to myself that there must be some way for me to work in my calling and to be able to get paid for it.
I tried for years to find a “house of the prophets.” I wanted to find a place that would financially support me for the work that I did. After all, I was beginning to do prophetic readings and I wanted to help people. I needed to do this work full time because my heart told me that God wanted me to do this on a full time basis.
After years and years of trying to make it on my own as a prophet, the Lord told me to conduct volunteer prophetic readings on a volunteer psychic website. I was happy to be a part of this website because I was literally receiving 15 email requests a day. I wanted to focus my attention here as much as I could. However, it was taking me at least 3 hours a day to do these readings and I was not getting paid for it. I knew that I had to find some way to get paid for what I did.
A man by the name of Terry wrote to me on this website and asked me if I ever did psychic readings for pay. I told him that I never did them for pay and I was also not a psychic. He told me that he had a psychic website and if I was interested in earning some money for the same type of work that I was doing for free, then he would be interested in hiring me because I was very accurate.
At first, I thanked him and said no. However, when I went into prayer with the Lord, I heard a voice say to me, “go do it.” I didn’t want to believe that the Lord Jesus was actually asking me to work on a psychic hotline. I could not understand it and I felt weird about doing this at first. However, I listened to that voice and immedietely my phone began to ring. I was beginning to do psychic readings and I had no idea that I was actually becoming a Christian psychic. I was still doing my prayers and my Bible readings every day. I never indulged in evil works and I thanked God every day for allowing me to get paid to work in my calling.
Either the Christian church has to set up its own “house of the Prophets” or else we are going to see more and more Christian psychics. The church has to to learn that it is responsible for taking care of ministers of all five fold positions. The pastor and the prophet must be put on a salary if this is the way that the church intends to go. It is not fair for the church to leave a prophet behind financially. A man of God is worthy of his keep and ministers deserve to be paid for what they do.
Even though the term Christian psychic is a new form of wording for the office of the prophet, we must understand that we are all responsible for taking care of people in the ministry. If the church does not support its ministers, then the Lord will find other ways to support them. Just because some people feel that prophets should not get paid, doesn’t mean that God does. If you read the Holy Bible, then you will agree that all ministers are worthy of getting paid for their work.
The next time that you speak with a Christian psychic, you may actually be speaking to a real Christian prophet. Remember, that “you shall know them by their fruits.”
