Surfing has always held a fascination for the American public ever since the surfing movies of the 50’s and 60’s. There are great schools in the San Francisco area that offer surfing lessons for all ages. The only requirement is that you know how to swim. That should be obvious, but sometimes it is not. Each of the schools teaches a bit differently than the others. You need to go and meet with them and see exactly what they teach and how they teach. See what the beaches where they hold the surfing lessons are like. You need to be comfortable with the location and the teacher.
