I think it was Christmas of 2002 that I was first gifted with Zum.
I’ve never been the same.
Zum Rub, Zum Bar Soaps and other products by Indigo Wild have me zumming a happy tune. Aromatherapy at its finest, I say.
These products are made of all natural ingredients. These are some of the most potently scented soaps around. But I have problems, too, when I indulge in Zum. First, I take terribly long showers. I lather and rinse. Lather and rinse. Lather and rinse. Run out of hot water. Brave the cold while I once again lather and rinse.
I then spend the day sniffing myself. Hold my arm to my nose and inhale. Put my nose in my shirt, and inhale. It’s nearly compulsive! I don’t notice the expressions from onlookers.
At my former job, I gifted two friends with Zum Rub. I, and several others, then spent a good half of our work day stopping by to slather or sniff. Those were happy days! Surprisingly, they were still productive…
When I’m at my local grocery store that sells Indigo Wild products, I always have to stop to smell every bar whether I’m buying or not. And then, I have to smell them all again. I have now forgotten about the appointment that I’m late for. My toddler begins to get cranky and wants me to move along. “Here Honey. Smell this,” I say. “It will cheer you up.”
If I’m to do any compulsive shopping, you can believe that I’ll include Zum. The lady at the check out exclaims, “I could never afford to spend that kind of money on soap!” Before I growl at her to mind her business and that I “need it!” I grab it and sniff; then with a smile on my face I tell her, “It’s so very worth it.” (And really, it isn’t so much. $5.30 for 3 oz.)
I then have a big bag of varied Zum Bars in my bathroom cabinet. Weeks of long showers and loss of control! After a Zum shower I just want to sit and meditate, wearing a perma-grin.
But I feel good supporting this company. They are a local Kansas City company; they support some important charities such as Breast Cancer research. They love dogs. They have witty ads and catalog captions that amuse me and make me smile. They promote bare footedness and good moods.
Zum products are environmentally safe and great for your skin. They use ingredients such as goat’s milk, soy wax, shea butter, meadowfoam seel oil and essential oils. They have some of the most invigorating scent combinations such as Patchouli-Mint, Lime-Basil, Sandalwood-Citrus, Lavender-Mint, Clove-Mint, Anise-Lavender, to name a few. They also now make cosmetics such as eye-tint.
Other products include laundry soap, facial care, body oils, sprays/mists, and candles. They have a special line for dogs and for babies.
Indigo Wild products are great gifts, for yourself or others!
