Wolf Blitzer had an exclusive interview with Dick Cheney, Vice President of the United States today. I guess exclusive interview means that he was the only person in the room while he allowed Dick Cheney to engage in an uninterrupted monologue in which he denied that invading Iraq was a mistake, in which he consistently called the government in Iraq an example of majority “democracy” in action and in which he repeatedly made statements intended to convey the impression that Saddam Hussein was involved in terrorist actions ala 9/11. And the whole time Wolf Blitzer just sat there. Oh sure, he occasionally made a halfhearted attempt to interrupt Darth, but when Cheney kept right on speaking as though Blitzer wasn’t even in the room-and in his mind he probably wasn’t, I imagine that Dick Cheney often thinks he is the only person in the room-he let Cheney roll right on with even a fake challenge. If Dick Cheney is not suffering from some kind of solipsistic mental disorder, I don’t know who is.
The scary thing is that if Dick Cheney had been connected to a lie detector test, I have no doubt he would pass with flying colors. He actually believes his lies and falsehoods and misleading statements and lies. But that’s old news.
Oh, what I would give for Dick Cheney to agree to an interview with Keith Olbermann. Instead, he goes on Fox where Big Pussy Chris(tina) Wallace tosses him softball questions with his little bony girl arms, and he goes on the Situation Room secure in the knowledge he won’t have to face Jack Cafferty who wouldn’t let him get away with the crap that Wolf Blitzer does. I have watched Wolf Blitzer interview Dick Cheney several times and every time he acts more like a welcome mat, allowing Dick Cheney to walk over him. It is not only disgusting, it defies logic. Darth and the Emperor on the ropes, and guys like Wolf Blitzer should have the light saber lit by truth out and glowing large. I guarantee you that Keith “Qui-Gon Jin” Olbermann wouldn’t just sit there with a nice smile on his face while Dick Cheney said something like “The world is a safer place now than it was before we invaded Iraq.” Safer for whom? Cheney? Bush? It sure as hell isn’t safer for all those reservists who working at nice jobs four years ago and are now rotting in the ground.
Dick Cheney is a lying, selfish, greedy, draft-dodging scumbag who doesn’t deserve the kid glove treatment. These guys have broken every rule in the book since they stole the White House. And now that Americans from coast to coast have finally awakened from their slumber and are realizing just what petty thugs Bush and Cheney is, it is okay to start being tough with them. The era of the Free Ride should be over everywhere except for the GOP Press-I mean Fox News.
Too bad we still have pussies at CNN just as bad as Chris(tina) Wallace.
